Director of Plant Operations

Location: Dallas, TX (near Richardson)

Position Overview
The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for overseeing the operational management of healthcare facilities, ensuring that all systems and equipment function effectively to support patient care. This role involves the strategic planning, coordination, and supervision of plant operations, maintenance, and safety protocols to comply with healthcare regulations and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of plant facilities, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of equipment and utility systems.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for plant operations aligned with organizational goals and healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety, and health regulations related to plant operations.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance and repair schedules for medical equipment and utility systems to minimize downtime.
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the seamless operation of hospital facilities and support patient care initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources related to plant operations and maintenance activities.,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant operations or facilities management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare equipment maintenance standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
